A personalised approach to facial proportion, definition and age related volume changes.

understand VOLUME®

Changes in facial volume and structure are a natural part of ageing.

Over time, changes to the skin, soft tissue and underlying facial structure can alter facial proportions, definition and balance.

At DOCTOR SHAMMI, Dr Shammi takes an individualised, anatomy-led approach to facial assessment. The aim is to understand the relationship between your facial features and determine whether treatment is appropriate for your concerns and goals.

volume and balance

THE PROCESS

Your consultation with Dr Shammi is the essential first step.

During your appointment, Dr Shammi will
discuss your concerns, assess your facial anatomy and determine your suitability for treatment.

You will be provided with information about
the relevant treatment approach, including:

Expected outcomes

  • Potential risks and side effects
  • Limitations of treatment
  • Alternative treatment options
  • Aftercare and recovery
  • Whether treatment is appropriate for you

No treatment is undertaken without appropriate consultation, assessment and informed consent. A consultation does not necessarily result in treatment. Dr Shammi will assess whether treatment is appropriate for you and discuss the available options.

Dr Shammi will discuss the appropriate treatment options with you following a comprehensive clinical assessment. Treatment is not performed on the day of your initial consultation. If treatment is considered appropriate, our team will arrange a separate appointment at a suitable time.

Before proceeding, Dr Shammi will explain the proposed treatment, including its expected outcomes, potential risks and side effects, limitations, alternatives and aftercare, so you can make an informed decision.

Initial consultation $370 (new clients)
Review consultation $265

All treatment pricing will be discussed during your consultation. If treatment is considered appropriate, you will receive an individualised treatment plan outlining the recommended approach and associated pricing, which you can take home and consider before deciding whether to proceed.

A consultation may be appropriate if you are concerned about:

Facial volume

Changes in fullness or definition associated with ageing or changes in facial structure.

Facial proportions

Concerns about how individual facial features relate to one another.

Cheek definition

Changes in the appearance or definition of the mid-face.

Lip and mouth area

Changes in proportion, definition or the appearance of the area surrounding the mouth.

Chin and lower face

Concerns relating to lower-face proportion, definition or balance.

A consultation does not necessarily result in treatment. Dr Shammi will assess whether treatment is appropriate for you and discuss the available options.

What causes facial volume loss?

Facial volume can change as part of the
natural ageing process. Changes to soft tissue, skin elasticity and underlying facial structures can contribute to changes in facial fullness, definition and proportion.

Can facial volume affect facial balance?

Yes. Changes in one area of the face can
influence the perceived balance and proportion of surrounding features. This is
why Dr Shammi assesses the face as a whole rather than focusing solely on one
feature.

How do I know what treatment is right for me?

The appropriate approach depends on your
anatomy, concerns, medical history and desired outcome. Dr Shammi will assess your suitability and discuss the relevant options during your consultation.

Is treatment suitable for everyone?

No. Suitability is determined on an individual
basis following clinical assessment. Some people may not be suitable for a particular treatment, or may be advised to consider an alternative approach.

Will I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. A consultation and clinical assessment
are required before treatment is recommended. This allows Dr Shammi to assess your suitability and provide appropriate information about the proposed treatment, risks, benefits and alternatives.
