Tribrid. Three wavelengths. Multiple dimensions of correction. One decisive transformation.
ABOUT Tribrid
Three wavelengths, one technology for refined rejuvenation and skin clarity.
At DOCTOR SHAMMI, we invest in technology based on capability and clinical outcomes, not brand. Tribrid represents a significant advancement in laser engineering, combining three wavelengths delivered simultaneously to treat the skin at multiple depths in a single session.
This allows us to address concerns such as pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, acne scarring, and overall skin ageing in a more comprehensive and efficient way. Rather than spacing treatments across multiple devices and visits, Tribrid enables a more consolidated approach with greater impact per session.
The technology is highly tunable, allowing us to precisely control depth and intensity across the epidermis and dermis. This level of control supports stronger collagen stimulation while maintaining a favourable safety profile, reducing the risk of complications such as post-inflammatory pigmentation in darker skin types.
Tribrid is suitable across a broad range of skin types and is most commonly prescribed for clients in their 30s through to 60s, where structural and textural changes begin to emerge. Each treatment is tailored to the individual, ensuring the settings are aligned with your skin, your concerns, and the outcome we are working toward.
Tribrid TREATMENT
THE PROCESS
The Consultation
You will have an in-clinic consultation with Dr Shammi to assess your ageing-concerns and determine suitability for Tribrid, as well as the exact treatment settings required for your sessions. This consultation is essential, as it is where your personalised parameters are prescribed, including energy levels, treatment areas, wavelength selection, and number of passes.
Dr Shammi will assess visible concerns such as volume loss, the depth of wrinkles and any skin distortion such as sun damage, to ensure settings are precisely tailored for both safety and optimal results. Given Tribrid delivers three wavelengths simultaneously, expert calibration is required to appropriately treat complex presentations without compromising the skin.
Your current skincare routine will also be reviewed, with adjustments recommended where required. Follow-up appointments are arranged prior to your departure.
The consultation fee may be credited toward treatment, subject to terms and conditions.
The Treatment
Dr Shammi prescribes Tribrid as part of a structured treatment plan for clients concerned with skin ageing, including changes in texture, wrinkles and pigmentation. Your full protocol, including treatment intervals, is tailored during your consultation.
Tribrid is an advanced laser platform that treats the skin in a more complete way by addressing multiple layers in a single session. This allows us to target surface texture, deeper lines, and uneven pigmentation simultaneously, rather than treating each concern in isolation over multiple appointments.
The result is a more efficient and considered approach to rejuvenation, where skin quality, clarity, and firmness are improved in a single treatment experience, with the intensity tailored precisely to your skin type and tolerance.
Dr Shammi will determine the number of sessions required based on your individual presentation and how your skin responds over time.
Each session is approximately 75 minutes and includes VISIA imaging to objectively track improvements over time.

FAQ
Q: What is Tribrid and how does it work?
A: Tribrid combines three laser wavelengths in a single treatment to target multiple layers of the skin at once.
Erbium (2940nm) works superficially to refine texture, soften fine lines, and improve surface irregularities.
Halo (1470nm) penetrates deeper into the dermis to support collagen remodelling and address structural ageing and scarring.
Moxi (1927nm) targets the upper layers of the skin to improve early pigmentation, sun damage, and overall clarity and brightness. Together, these wavelengths deliver a layered, comprehensive rejuvenation in one session.
Q: Who is Tribrid suitable for?
A: Tribrid is suitable for most skin types, from lighter to darker skin tones, with settings individually prescribed by Dr Shammi to ensure safety and precision. It is commonly used to treat concerns associated with ageing, including fine lines, texture changes, pigmentation, sun damage, and scarring. Subject to your skins health, the settings are adjusted accordingly.
Q: Where can I treat using Tribrid?
A: Tribrid is suitable for the face, neck, and décolleté (upper chest).
Q: Can I have Tribrid if I am pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive?
A: Tribrid is not recommended during pregnancy. It may be considered while breastfeeding or trying to conceive, following a clinical assessment.
Q: Can I have Tribrid if I have cold sores, fake tan, or recent sun exposure?
A: Treatment cannot be performed in the presence of active cold sores, recent significant sun exposure, or fake tan in the treatment area.
Q: Is there downtime after Tribrid?
A: Yes. Downtime is expected following treatment. Redness typically lasts several days, with light peeling around day three. Small brown dots (MENDS) may also appear around days three to four as part of the skin’s natural renewal process.
Downtime is usually 4–7 days, depending on your settings and individual response. Most clients are able to continue daily activities, however it is best not to schedule important social or professional events during this period. By approximately day seven, the skin generally appears more settled and normalised.
Makeup should be avoided for 24 hours, along with exercise, heat exposure, and saunas.
Q: Where is Tribrid performed?
A: Tribrid is performed at DOCTOR SHAMMI in Melbourne only.
Q: Can I have a telehealth consultation?
A: No. All consultations for Tribrid are conducted in-clinic only to allow for proper assessment and treatment planning.
Q: Do I need a consultation before treatment?
A: Yes. An in-clinic consultation with Dr Shammi is required prior to treatment. This allows for a full skin assessment and the creation of your personalised treatment plan, including settings, treatment areas, and intervals. Your medical history and skincare routine are also reviewed.
The consultation fee may be credited toward treatment if you proceed, subject to terms and conditions.
Q: Does private health insurance cover the consultation?
A: No. Consultation fees are not covered by private health insurance.
