ABOUT Tribrid

HALO®, prescribed for structured dermal change.

The technology itself is only one part of the outcome. Precision lies in how the treatment is prescribed, calibrated and layered based on the skin in front of us. By adjusting depth, density and intensity, HALO® can target pigmentation, sun damage, textural irregularities and visible skin ageing in a way that is tailored rather than standardised.

Most commonly prescribed for clients experiencing early to advanced signs of ageing, each treatment is designed to support stronger collagen stimulation and visible skin refinement, while balancing recovery time and long-term skin integrity.

halo TREATMENT

THE PROCESS

You will have an in-clinic consultation with Dr Shammi to assess your individual ageing concerns and determine suitability for HALO®, along with the precise treatment parameters required for your skin.

This consultation is a critical step in the process, where your settings are individually prescribed. This includes calibration of energy levels, treatment areas, wavelength selection, and the number of passes, all tailored to your skin and desired outcome.

Dr Shammi will assess factors such as volume loss, wrinkle depth, textural change, pigmentation and sun-related damage to ensure treatment is both safe and appropriately targeted. Given the precision and intensity of HALO®, expert parameter selection is essential to achieve meaningful skin improvement while maintaining skin integrity and minimising risk.

Your current skincare routine will also be reviewed, with adjustments recommended where required. Follow-up appointments are arranged prior to your departure.

The consultation fee may be credited toward treatment, subject to terms and conditions.

Dr Shammi prescribes HALO® as part of a structured, consultative treatment plan for clients concerned with skin ageing, including changes in texture, fine lines, pigmentation and overall skin quality. Your protocol, including treatment timing and settings, is individually designed during your consultation.

While HALO® provides the technology, the outcome is defined by how it is prescribed. Each treatment is calibrated by Dr Shammi using precise parameters that determine depth, energy, density and treatment distribution. These settings are not standardised, and no two treatment plans are identical.

HALO® works across multiple layers of the skin in a single session, allowing us to address surface texture, pigmentation and early structural change in a more integrated way. However, it is the individual prescription of settings that determines how the skin responds, ensuring treatment is appropriately matched to your skin type, tolerance and clinical presentation.

This creates a considered approach to resurfacing, where improvements in clarity, smoothness and firmness are progressively built over time. Dr Shammi will determine the number of sessions required based on your skin and how it responds to treatment.

Each session is approximately 75 minutes and includes VISIA imaging to objectively track changes in skin quality and progress over time.

Initial consultation $370 (new clients)
Review consultation $265

Halo is $1850 per session, per the area.

Medicare rebates for the consultation are subject to eligibility criteria. The consultation fee may be credited toward treatment, subject to terms and conditions.

Q: What is HALO® and how does it work?

A: HALO® is an advanced hybrid laser treatment that targets multiple layers of the skin in a single session. At DOCTOR SHAMMI, Dr Shammi uses dual-wavelength technology to address both superficial and deeper skin structures. One wavelength refines texture, softens fine lines, and improves surface irregularities, while the second supports collagen remodelling and addresses structural ageing and scarring. This allows Dr Shammi to deliver comprehensive, layered resurfacing to improve overall skin quality, clarity, and firmness.

Q: Who is HALO® suitable for?

A: HALO® is suitable for a broad range of skin types. At DOCTOR SHAMMI, Dr Shammi prescribes all settings individually to ensure precision, safety, and optimal outcomes. It is commonly used for concerns such as fine lines, pigmentation, texture changes, sun damage, and acne scarring, with treatment parameters tailored to your skin and presentation.

Q: Is HALO® appropriate for darker Fitzpatrick skin types?

A: Yes, it may be suitable for a range of skin types, including deeper Fitzpatrick skin types, when carefully prescribed using conservative, individually calibrated settings. At DOCTOR SHAMMI, Dr Shammi assesses each patient’s pigmentation profile, skin history, and treatment response risk before determining suitability. In darker skin types, particular attention is given to parameter selection to minimise the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation while still supporting controlled improvement in texture, pigmentation, and overall skin quality.

Q: Where can HALO® be performed?

A: Dr Shammi prescribes Halo for the face, neck, and décolleté (upper chest).

Q: Can I have HALO® if I am pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive?

A: No, it is not recommended during pregnancy. Dr Shammi may consider treatment during breastfeeding or while trying to conceive following a clinical assessment.

Q: Can I have HALO® if I have cold sores, fake tan, or recent sun exposure?

A: Treatment cannot proceed in the presence of active cold sores, fake tan, or recent significant sun exposure in the treatment area.

Q: Is there downtime after HALO®?

A: Yes. Downtime is expected and typically lasts 4–7 days depending on settings prescribed by Dr Shammi and your individual response. Redness, swelling, and light peeling may occur, with small micro-crusts (MENDS) often appearing around days 3–4. Makeup should be avoided for 24 hours, along with exercise, heat exposure, and saunas.

Q: Where is HALO® performed?

A: HALO® is performed exclusively at DOCTOR SHAMMI in Melbourne.

Q: Do I need a consultation before treatment?

A: Yes. An in-clinic consultation with Dr Shammi is required prior to HALO® treatment. This allows for a full skin assessment and the creation of your personalised treatment plan, including settings, treatment areas, and intervals. Consultation fees may be credited toward treatment if you proceed, subject to terms and conditions.

Q: Can I have a telehealth consultation?

A: No. All HALO® consultations at DOCTOR SHAMMI are conducted in-clinic only to ensure accurate assessment and precise treatment planning by Dr Shammi.

Q: Does private health insurance cover the consultation?

A: No. Consultation fees are not covered by private health insurance.
