Frequently mistaken for simple flushing, recurring redness is a result of chronic inflammation requiring a rosacea diagnosis. Left untreated, this can break down collagen and accelerate premature ageing. We use bespoke laser treatments tailored to the type and depth of your individual vascular damage. These sessions are aimed at repairing vessel damage and strengthening collagen scaffolding. We’ll also help you manage your rosacea with a personalised at-home skincare routine. This includes guidance on avoiding triggers such as certain foods, lifestyle factors and stress.

The Consultation
You will have a personal assessment with Dr Shammi to develop a tailored treatment plan for your rosacea.
Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition that, over time, can contribute to collagen breakdown and ongoing skin sensitivity. Where appropriate, prescription medication may be used alongside in-clinic treatments.
Skincare and lifestyle factors will also be reviewed as part of your plan to support the best possible long-term outcomes.
The consultation fee may be credited toward treatment, subject to our terms and conditions.
The Process
You will be provided with a tailored plan that may include laser treatments, a prescribed skincare routine, and lifestyle recommendations.
With your consent, our team can also schedule any recommended future in-clinic appointments before you leave.
Skincare products can be purchased on the day where available. If a recommended product is not stocked in clinic, we will advise suitable external suppliers.

Q: Does DOCTOR SHAMMI perform rosacea treatment in the Sydney clinic?
A: Treatments involving lasers and energy-based devices are performed in Melbourne only. However, prescription medication can be e-scripted to cliients anywhere in Australia.
Q: Can I have my consultation via telehealth?
A: Unfortunately not. Consultations with DOCTOR SHAMMI for rosacea are conducted in-clinic only in Melbourne.
Q: Is there oral medication available to treat rosacea?
A: Yes. Dr Shammi may prescribe oral medication where clinically appropriate, or if this is the preferred treatment pathway. This will be discussed with you during your consultation.
Q: I have acne as well as rosacea. Can this be addressed in the same consultation?
A: Yes. Rosacea and acne commonly co-exist, and rosacea may present with pustular lesions. Dr Shammi will assess and manage any concurrent acne as part of your rosacea consultation, as treating acne can also support overall rosacea management.
Q: If I proceed with treatment, can my consultation fee be used toward treatment?
A: Yes. The consultation fee may be credited toward treatment if your appointment is booked on the same day, subject to terms and conditions.
Q: Does private health insurance cover the consultation fee?
A: Private health insurance does not cover the consultation fee.

DILATED VESSEL & CAPIILLARY TARGETING
A ClearV treatment uses a 1064 nm wavelength under Dr Shammi’s direction to target visible blood vessels contributing to redness, flushing, and rosacea. Settings are prescribed following individual clinical assessment.
It is not used in isolation. In-clinic, it is typically combined with other modalities within the same session as part of a structured, multi-step approach to treatment.
This allows multiple skin concerns to be addressed in a single visit, supporting a more comprehensive improvement in redness, tone, and overall skin quality over time.
